Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway returned last Saturday night, and with a certain amount of parody comedy I wonder if their best viewing figures for years was down to their inspiration for Dai n’ Dec, two of the biggest humany characters in the greenygrey world, and only ones to star in both Werewolf of Oz and XaW Files.

Tellymix reported that Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway ‘was the most watched show in last night’s viewing figures. The brand new series launched to a huge 7.4 million viewers between 7PM and 8:30PM, its best opening in years.
The rating is up 100,000 viewers on last year and is in fact the biggest opening number for the show since one of its original series back in 2004.
Saturday Night Takeaway peaked with just under 9 million viewers as it dominated the evening’s ratings.’
Moreover, it included some great gYgPOPing (greenYgreying and PinkyOrangePurpling), such as in the Jurassic Era format for the Ant v Dec challenge:
Ant and Dec also had extended dinosaur names for the challenge: Antosaurus and Decosaurus, and dressed as dinosaurs:

Other highlights included an appearance by Michelle Keegan, while audience member Joanne Oakley showed the benefit of preparation and practise by getting all her questions right, and winning the jackpot prize.
